My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luz, a young feline with a spirit as bright as her name suggests. Luz is a friendly soul, always eager to greet new friends with a gentle purr and a playful swat. Her curiosity is contagious; she'll have you exploring every nook and cranny of your home alongside her, transforming the mundane into an adventure. Luz loves people, but she values her independence too. She'll come to you for affection on her terms, a testament to her strong, confident personality. Luz would make a wonderful addition to any home, bringing joy, laughter, and companionship. She is negative for the triple snap test, up to date on vaccinations and parasite control and will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. Adopt Luz and discover the unique bond between human and feline.

More about this shelter

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue
