Snax!
This approx 9-10 yr old long haired dachshund mix is the just the cutest little old man. Although he weighs in around 24 lbs he could certainly use fewer snacks and a bit of a weight management plan.
Snax ended up with one of our rescue partners after his "family" brought him to a vet for a quality of life assessment/euthanasia, but instead hastily handed him over to a vet tech in the parking lot and drove off. They then were no longer responsive to the vet. Thankfully the vet quickly figured out that he seemed to have bladder stones causing some discomfort and were able to surgically remove them and reached out to our rescue partner. Once he was healed up from surgery and we heard what a lovely gent he is we were happy to have him join our rescue in the hopes of helping him find a wonderful retirement home and show him what a true family is.
Snax is good with other low key dogs and cats. He mostly loves a person to follow around, soft blankets and gentle pets.
Overall he is just a nice, easy going companion. He was an angel for a groom. He loves attention and affection, although he prefers not to be picked up.
Snax has been doing well since his surgery and has gotten a clean bill of health. He is neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped.
He is also up to date on preventatives.
