Weight: 59lbs
Size: med to large

DOB approx: Feb 14 2023
Description
MacGyver is the stoic, independent one in the litter. He is the biggest teddy bear.
Personality
MacGyver, Mac, Madadoo, and Mac and Cheese are all names this sweet boy comes to but of all the names Mac is his favorite. He is a big, sweet, and well-socialized husky/lab older puppy mix that looks mostly like a black lab with a white chest and white toes. Even though he is mostly black and white he has unique tan/copper coloring on his legs and has the sweetest brown eyes. He is playful, well-behaved, and obedient. He likes to ride in the car and really enjoys playing with other dogs. He is laid back and complacent and has had no issues blending right into his foster family that has a large dog, an alpha cat, and two human kiddos. He is smart and outgoing and really enjoys being active and going on long walks and runs in the morning and then being lazy and watching TV or taking naps by your side during the day. His naps are hilarious and he sleeps upside down or with his legs propped up and sometimes even lets out some snores! He is yours to do with as you please when you hug him, and he couldn't be happier about it. He loves attention and will stop what he is doing if he sees you petting another dog to come over and get some too. He will be a loving, well-adjusted member of any active family.
Background
Macgyver's momma, a Husky named Ganymede, and her four puppies were dumped in a residential area near Airline Drive and West rd in Houston in late April. Their finder said they were almost hit by a car on her narrow, busy street multiple times. She already had 2 dogs of her own and said she barely had enough food for her own dogs, let alone 4 hungry puppies and a skinny momma. No one on her street wanted to help them, and her landlord didn't want them hanging around there. She contacted BARC/ animal control, who refused them because of being over capacity and would have just euthanized them right away. A GNAR volunteer brought them donated food and flea, tick, and heartworm medicine to help their finder care for them until space in a foster home could be found. In the meantime, one of the 4 puppies went missing.
