Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sassy was part of a 69-dog hoarding situation a few hours outside of Austin. Naturally, she arrived very undersocialized and scared, but she has made so much progress in the few months she has been at RFR!
Initially, she was very defensive and was the brave protector of the three others who had come from the hoarding house with her, so she earned her name fair and square. Now that they have all had time to decompress, socialize, and understand how life works in a more traditional home, she has relaxed and spends most of her energy playing and cuddling. She loves lounging in her bed and running around the entire house, playing with her toys and dog friends, and sunbathing in the yard between frolics. Her sass comes back out when first meeting new dogs, but once she gets a chance to give them a sniff she quickly makes friends. At RFR, she is a cuddlebug with people and dogs, but she can be a bit shy with new people at first. She would warm up quickly in a home however, and would make a great companion.
It would be best for her to be in a home with another confident dog that she can bond with, play with, and can help her transition into her new life.
