My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org

This is Dexter and he has a brother Doug that he really loves!  Doug and Dexter came from a hoarding situation and had little socialization.  Both of the boys are sweet, shy and reserved but we feel that they are also the kind of cats that if given the opportunity to be in a calm home they would flourish and become affectionate boys that would be so grateful for their new life.  The boys were born October 2019 and are neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  Do you have a calm quiet home and a big heart willing to be patient while the boys learn about love and acceptance? As always our adoption fee for cats and kittens is free will to approved applicants.

Additional adoption info

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
