Hey Humans!! First thing you should know about me is that I LOVE all of y'all! Guys, gals and anyone in between, I love everyone!! I don't stop at you 2 leggeds either, I love my own species as well. Yup, that's right, I LOVE other dogs! I'm all about playtime, taking walks, running and of course snuggling (proof is in the pictures!). You may be interested to know about my past....well, it was less than a happy one. You see, my previous "owner" did not have the time or patience for me and as a result, I found myself tied outside the majority of the time. When I was permitted inside (which wasn't often) I was then leashed to the leg of the table. Can you image?? With my outgoing personality and zest for life?? Being constantly secured to SOMETHING at all times?? That was rough for me because all I wanted was to play and be loved on. Oh wait, let me back up a sec. I had been tied outside so much that it was discovered that my testicles were frostbitten!!! Yes, you read that right, the "boys" were FROZEN from being forced outside. Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway) I am sooooo happy to be at the shelter where I am fed daily, have water (that is not frozen) ALL the time, where it is WARM and where I get to play with other dogs and loving humans!! What more could I ask for? Well, as much as I like it here, I would give just about anything for a family of my own that appreciates my love of life. The folks here at the shelter are amazed at how resilient I am given all I have been thru. But, one thing I have learned thru all of this is that I need to let go of the bad and look forward to the future. I have discovered by being here at the shelter that not all humans are selfish and thoughtless, that there are more good ones than bad!! Okay, so I will tell you some things that that you and I will need to work on together. My potty training is a work in progress but with patience and consistency I am confident we can work it out together. Since I am only 1-2 yrs old I still have alot of puppy traits that have up to this point not been worked on. I am so eager to love on people that I jump up on them to let them know that I am friendly. I am getting the feeling that is not the route to go?? I guess what I am saying is that a reputable puppy class would be great for both me and you to attend. As much as I love kids, any under the age of 8 would not be a good idea. Only because of my jumping on them, I would never forgive myself if I inadvertently hurt one. Hey, I totally forgot to mention...I LOVE car rides!! With my sense of adventure, I find it exhilarating not knowing where we will end up! If you have taken the time to read this long bio (sorry, I have lots to say!) and you would like to meet me, take a few minutes to tell me about yourself and I will have one of my people get back to you!! love, oz xoxoxo
