My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ricki is a sweet cat who adores attention. She'll start purring if you just look at her and will come nuzzle into your outstretched hand. Not much of a lap cat, which may be best--weighing in at just over 13lbs, Miss Ricki is a big girl. She loves soft things, like cozy blankets, and spends most of her time snoozing cuddled up with her roommate. In her previous home she was around other cats, birds, and a dog. She is friendly with the cat she was living with, but is wary of our other cat. She would probably need ample time to adjust in a home with other pets. We don't know how she is with children but she seems even-tempered and hasn't bitten or scratched us.

Her previous owner lost her battle with cancer and we are seeking a new home where Ricki can continue to be loved as she deserves. The vet estimates her age at approximately 4 years, but it's possible she is closer to 6-8. She also has a recurrent cough, which the vet attributes to asthma, and should be in a non-smoking home.
