My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What is a purebred little beagle with a pedigree doing in a rescue? Being very cute and getting lots of love.
This little guy is two years old and weighs about 23 pounds. He is small, but full of energy. Although his favorite sport is lap surfing. He is a bit tuggy on the leash right now, but we are working on that. He is even learning some basic commands.
Rusty was raised with small children and has never shown any aggressive behavior. Right now Rusty is in a play group with Joe and Ziggy, so we know he gets along with dogs.
Rusty used to live in a house with a yard and would scratch at the door to go outside. Then the family moved to a place with no yard. Rusty made a few mistakes in the house and was confined to a kennel. Apparently no one had time to help him adjust to the new living arrangements. Not a good life for an active, people loving dog. His owners finally decided to give him up for adoption.
It wouldn't take much training to get Rusty back on the right path!!!
