My name is Carlee!. I'm very curious & so smart! My foster mom often finds several cupboards & drawers open but I'll never tell her what I was trying to find. I really enjoy playing, especially chasing toys on a string with a human waving it around for me. You can always get my attention with catnip, it's simply divine, and cat treats! I am a lovely senior gal looking for my forever home with people that don't need a cuddly cat because, while I thoroughly enjoy pets, I'm not a snuggler. I live with other cats in my foster home but I'd really rather be an only cat so I hiss & grumble at them all the time. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
