Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beautiful Katie may be considered on the cusp of being “senior” at eight years old, but shhhh….don’t tell her that! Katie wants you to know why senior cats rule. First and most importantly, senior cats seem to understand that they’ve been adopted and are so appreciative that they’ve been rescued. A senior cat’s personality is already developed, so you know what you’re getting – and Katie is a real sweetheart! Senior cats are laid back and aren’t going to terrorize your house. Katie is a very talkative girl and talks to you as if to say, “thank you for paying attention to me”. Senior cats know basic household etiquette – they aren’t going to attack your feet at night, like some naughty kittens might do. Senior cats aren’t going to grow any larger. Sweet Katie is going to stay just as she is! Senior cats are quite content just to relax in your company and unlike kittens, won’t get bored if they’re left alone. Katie would love to be your one and only, so she can be doted on all day! She loved being wherever her people were and she is sure to bond with her new family, as soon as she is comfortable. Senior cats make great napping buddies. Katie loves her favourite bed and blankets, but she loved to sleep with her owners every night the most. Senior cats know that scratching posts are for scratching (and furniture isn’t) and toys are for biting (not hands and feet). Katie loves to play with her toys, but it is more fun if you play with her! We’re not sure how she is with dogs, so Katie would do best as your only pet.
Katie had to be surrendered when her owners went into a nursing home. They were devastated that they couldn’t take Katie with them. They left her with lots of food and her favourite things to help her settle in. Katie is doing as well as can be expected in the adoption centre, but just wants her new forever home.
Lastly, Katie would remind you that seniors are some of the hardest cats to find homes for, so when you adopt a senior cat, like beautiful Katie, you are truly saving a life. And at eight years old, Katie is a “young” senior, with a lot of good years ahead of her still!
If you would like to meet Katie, you can visit her at Oakville PetSmart or you can fill out an online application: http://ninthlifecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/
