Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pending! Coco is a very happy dog. She's a very sweet, wriggly, cuddly, devoted and active dog who will smother you in kisses the second you walk through the door, even if you were only gone for 5 minutes. She's shy at first (I spent an hour at the humane society getting her to let me pet her) and is afraid of men, mostly men wearing hats, and although she has gotten used to the guys here she still sometimes barks and runs if they surprise her. I have had her for a year and a half, but she started fighting with my little senior dog and I don't want the small dog to get seriously hurt. She doesn't fight with any of our other dogs, has never bitten a human, or even looked anything but submissive, and doesn't bother the cats. I'm inclined to say she needs a place without another dominant female, like my old girl is. She's been around horses, chickens and goats, and other than "helping" with the chickens (she has never hurt one, just corners them), she pretty much ignores everything. She plays a lot with the golden retriever, so she might be better with a dog her size. She loves water, snow and racing through the tall grass. The humane society notes said she was used to spending up to 18 hours in a crate, which she never has to do any more, but she is comfortable going in her crate at night. She really is a wonderful dog and I love her. If it weren't for the fighting I would not be trying to rehome her.
