Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Oliver, our handsome red tabby boy. If you are an adult-only home that is looking for a mature cat to share your life with, look no further. Oliver is an extremely loyal cat who bonds closely with his people. He can take a little bit of time to warm up to new faces, but once he knows you, he's snuggly, interactive, and chatty.
Oliver loves to play with his laser toy and chase the dot around the house. He's 10 years young and has good energy for playing. In his previous home, Ollie was used to going outdoors but now that he's mellowed a bit with age, he is happy watching the birds from inside the window. He would make a great gardening companion, and would be happy to lounge on the porch in the sun.
If Ollie were a girl, we would describe him as a bit of a Diva. He likes attention on his own terms. He is an interesting mix of independent yet affectionate. He really enjoys head rubs and telling you about his day. Oliver will become a wonderful companion to whomever takes this big guy home.
This is what his foster mom has to say about Oliver: Oliver is a really sweet guy. He is snuggly, chatty and always there to meet me at the door when I come home. He is quite playful in the evenings and morning, racing around like a kitten and tossing his toys into the air. Oliver is fairly happy watching birds through the window, but he does long to be outside in a yard. He would definitely like to be somebody's gardening partner!
Oliver is not comfortable with children, so he needs an adult-only home. Someone with previous cat experience is important for Oliver. He has some minor compromises to his vision, so sometimes Ollie can be a bit uncertain in unfamiliar situations. It is important to be able to read his body language to note when he's feeling uneasy and react accordingly. Oliver is on a special diet to prevent urinary crystals and it is important that he remain on this diet for life (or until the vet recommends a change.)
This handsome boy is a real catch and will be a great retirement buddy for an experienced cat owner who lives a laid back lifestyle. If you'd like to learn more about Oliver, please contact us at victoriapets@gmail.com and tell us about your family.
