Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
GILBERT and his brother MAXWELL are adorable and affectionate little men. On 2/9/17 they turned 10 weeks old, and get this...they are already 85% potty trained with the doggie door! What smart boys they are! They love cuddling in your lap, lounging on doggie beds, giving puppy kisses, and playing with the other pups in the foster home equally. Although they enjoy their playtime, they are pretty mellow as far as puppies go. They are curious about the world around them and love to explore. They sweet with every dog and person they meet. These brothers are already precious but we know they are going to grow up to be devastatingly handsome. GILBERT has the shiniest black coat, big floppy ears, and the sweetest face. MAXWELL's eyes are the most memorizing shade of green that we hope lasts forever. GILBERT and MAXWELL are each going to be the light of their forever family's life for sure!
These boys are NOT available to be adopted together. Woof River does not allow sibling adoptions, because medical professionals overwhelmingly agree sibling puppies should not stay together for life.
MAXWELL and GILBERT will be microchipped and vaccinated as many times as age allows when they arrive to their forever homes.
Each puppy has a $300 adoption fee which includes cost of transport once adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
