Miley's doing well. She's lost 6lb in 3 weeks (now is 52lb!), her ear infection is cleared up, her Thyroid test came back normal (yay! no problems) and she's ready to find a home! She's healthy, house trained, great with people and dogs. She is always a sweetie and is starting to show her goofy and peppy side too! Miley has played with some dogs and loves to sniff when we're out in the woods or fields. She adores petting and likes being with people. She lit up when we stopped at the vet clinic for her weigh-in today! "oh! people, please let them all say hi to me!!!"
Miley likes her interactive food toys, loves chewing on antlers/bones, has decided counter-surfing isn't all that exciting, and LOVES meeting new people! She gets very happy and will jump and be giddy. She's still good with meeting dogs; she meets them and does her own thing. She's decided to play with a few dogs, but using her super sniffer nose and hanging out with people is more her idea of a good time.
Miley is a happy, mellow girl who'd love to be a family member to someone. She doesn't need to do dog sports to be happy, but wouldn't mind doing therapy work or possibly nose work/scent games (she says she's fine just chilling with her best friends too). The past week Miley has started to show some giddiness and you can't help but smile as she now runs up the stairs, gets really happy to meet people, cozies up on a dog bed or when she bounces around happy. Miley continues to do well running into her crate when I go to work and has her spots in my room where she likes to sleep. I've never seen Miley around a cat, but she ignores the rabbit.
Miley has no problem taking her anti-seizure meds (phenobarbital) twice a day and was good when she had blood drawn for blood work. Miley will be on phenobarbital twice a day (Every 12 hours) for life and will need blood work to make sure her levels are fine (this is normally done 2x/year). Outside of that Miley's healthcare is the same as any other dog's. Miley hopes that being epileptic doesn't scare off potential families. She has a lot of love and a sweet personality. If you're looking for a sweet, calm, happy, loving and cute new family member Miley is the girl for you.
Miley requests that you enjoy her video to get to know her better. Her video shows her engaging with her friends and foster siblings. She also met some MWBCR alums and their owners (and enjoyed showing off her sit and down for their tasty treats!). Miley is ready for adoption and looking forward to starting 2015 with her new family.

Miley is a sweet almost 2yr BC. She's good with dogs and people. Miley is a laid back gal who enjoys using her amazing sense of smell to find even the littlest crumb. If you'd like to keep your counters clean or clutter free Miley will help you. She has been known to countersurf, but is starting to understand that feet and noses on the counter is a bit rude. When she's not sniffing her world she enjoys naps, petting and chewing on a good bone or antler. Miley prefers to be off leash to go to the bathroom. Miley perks up to meet new people and with her sweet soulful eyes melts your heart. Therapy work might be in her future! Miley set her new year's goal early; she'd like to loose weight and be more fit.
Shortly before coming into MWBCR, Miley had an UTI; it is cleared up now. This weekend (Sun Dec 14) she'll finish up medication for an ear infection. Her ear doesn't bother her and she patiently allows the medication to be put in her ear. Miley is epileptic. She takes phenobarbital twice a day (12 hours apart). She has not had a seizure since July. Miley takes her pill easily without any protest.
Miley currently rides crated in the car and also is crated when I'm at work. She readily runs to her crate to hang out. Her breakfast is fed in interactive toys and she eagerly waits to get hers. As I leave the house you can hear her playing with it in her crate. She has slept in her crate and the past few nights sleeps in my room (uncrated). It has been fun seeing her adjust to her foster home and how she perks up to meet people. As she continues to adjust it'll be fun to see how she blossoms. She really is a gentle, calm and kind soul.
