Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Two kittens were rescued from their birth home in a Scottsdale storm drain. They are about four months old, but have never been in the sun before, never been handled before this past week, know nothing of the world outside a storm drain. They were nursing until recently and eating food dropped to them by worried public. We feared releasing them into a feral community as planned because of their age would be the kiss of death and they rarely even hissed so have been very easy to socialize. So far, they are very sweet ... shy but not terrified ... and eating normally. Already (3rd day) quit running when I open door. We are teaching them to play with toys/people! The turbo-scratcher was a winner but the small scratch post with "tether ball" turned the tide for even Chanel!
Chanel is a mix of grey/brown tabby spots and white with very soft fur not super short. Chantal is that same grey/brown tabby with only a little white on her face but coarser guard hairs. They now weigh 3,7 and 4.1 pounds, respectively, and have had their first distemper shots. Each has been spayed and ear-tipped. Chantal is already purring and seeking attention ... she is more outgoing and adventurous. Chanel watches, but is curious and checks everything out. Chanel is starting to push up against your hand for petting, too.
We are looking for a forever home for these kittens. They need a second vaccination 6/25. We plan to give those vaccinations to "set" their resistance to five diseases.
We will show these kittens at various places until adopted. We can bring them to your home or a neutral location for you to meet, too. Pictures at Choice Pet Market Shea & Scottsdale Roads Sunday 6/8. Children were able to hold them at Trendy Pet & Rescue 6/11 and they were roughhousing and playing like home-raised kittens in their kennel ... playing with people through the window.
