My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

An adoption application on CHESTER can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to pat.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.

CHESTER is the happiest guy you will ever meet. He ADORES belly rubs, playing with his toys, cuddling on the couch, and soaking up affection in general. He shares his foster home with 2 cats and a Pomeranian; he gets along fantastically with everyone. CHESTER has never had an accident in his foster home and is well behaved in his crate when his foster family has to leave the house for a little while. He happily greets all guests and is overall a joy to be around. CHESTER is 2.5 years old and approximately 50 lbs. He will be a fantastic, loyal companion for his future forever family.

CHESTER is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and cost of transport to the Midwest once adopted.

An adoption application for CHESTER can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to pat.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
