As Corrales Animals Services officers we help with the community in anyway that we can. We work with a variety of rescue groups. Our goal is to make sure all animals of the Village are reunited with their families or adopted into new and loving homes!

ADOPTION


All animals are adopted out on a first come first serve basis.

Animals with no obvious signs of ownership are available for adoption, rescue or shelter transfer if not reclaimed by the 3rd day of impound (first day is day zero).

Animals with signs of ownership are available for adoption, rescue, or shelter transfer if not reclaimed by the 5th day of impound (first day is day zero).

Adoption fee for dogs/cats under 8 months of age; $90, dogs/cats 8 month to 6 years of age; $70, dogs/cats 7 years of age or older; $50 which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, and microchip.

Corrales Residents will also need to pay for animal licensing upon adoption.

If you have another pet we do require you bring him/her with you to meet the potential adoptee.

All animals over six months of age will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots before you are able to take the animal home.

Animals less than six months of age will be scheduled for spay/neuter and age appropriate vaccines after adoption this will be done through Corrales Animal Service as part of the adoption fee.

If the adopter does not comply with the scheduled spay/neuter and vaccinations for animals less than six months of age, the animal will be immediately surrendered back to Corrales Animal Services.

If you are renting, you will need to provide proof from your landlord giving permission for the animal to live at the residence.
