Lifeline Oro Valley Animal Rescue (L.O.V.A.R.) is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization, all volunteer and no kill rescue striving to support those most in need.
We rescue dogs and cats of all types, sizes, aged and breeds.
Specialty: We also specialize in Carolina Dogs; Desert Dogs and fear dogs and cats from shelters, or the community.
Since opening in 2014, we have successfully rescued and adopted animals considered by some to be least adoptable- including dogs that are feral, senior, sick and injured, as well as those with behavior and fear problems, hospice and mothers left behind, as well as cats that are seniors and bonded pairs.
We believe that the systematic killing as a means of controlling the population is wrong and work with other stakeholders and the community to seek non lethal options.
LOVAR is platinum rated on Guidestar Charity and proudly participates in Shelter Data Counts.

The process begins with an online application at www.lovar.org
We then review the application and conduct a safety background check.
The next step is to conduct a meet-and-greet with any family dog(s) .
A home check to validate that the home /yard is safe and visit with any other family members.animals is then performed.
All being well, an adoption trial or "sleepover" can be arranged and then adoption agreement is then signed to finalize.
