Trail of Hope Animal Rescue Inc

Dog rescue in Okeechobee, FL

In 2017, we saw the urgent need for a quality no-kill dog rescue in Okeechobee. By October 1, 2017 we opened Trail of Hope and we have since assisted an average of 350 dogs per year to find their forever homes. In order to prevent & reduce euthanasia, we pull at-risk dogs from municipal shelters in Okeechobee, St Lucie, Hendry, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Orange and Taylor counties on a case-by-case basis dependent on the space available in our rescue. We have the capabilities to rescue and house litters of puppies including bottle-feeding them from newborn to 4 weeks of age. We have rescued dogs with medical issues that placed them at risk for euthanasia.
