Reggie's Friends - Minneapolis

Animal rescue in Minneapolis, MN

Reggie’s Friends was founded out of our love for helping dogs. Living in a city of 1.2 million homeless animals, there was rarely a day when we didn’t see a dog in need of help. Instead of just wanting to do something, we figured out how to do something! Reggie’s Friends is dedicated to the health and welfare of dogs in and around the greater Houston, TX area. We focus our attention on street dogs and shelter cases that other rescues may not have the resources for. We live and love by our motto Street Life To Sweet Life.

Rescue FAQs

Our rescue is located in Houston TX and most of our dogs are fostered here. We rescue dogs from the overpopulated streets and high kill shelters of Houston and adopt them out across the US and into parts of Canada. The dogs are flown to their forever families on direct flights from Houston to their families.
Our dogs are in great families around the US and in parts of Canada, including:
Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, TX
Arlington, VA
Baltimore, MD
Calgary, AB
Denver, CO
Minneapolis, MN
Milwaukee, WI
Portland, OR
Seattle, WA
Sacramento, CA
San Francisco, CA
San Jose, CA
Vancouver, BC (does not include Vancouver Island - adopters on the island will have to drive in to YVR to pick up).

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. This can be done via our website at the following link: https://reggiesfriends.org/adoptables/

Our team will then review the application, contact references, perform a vet-check, and request photos of the common areas of the house and yard that serve in lieu of a home visit.

Following the completion of the application, we set up video chats either through Skype or Facetime between the foster and adoptive families.

Our adoption fee is $500USD, which includes the cost of transport and any relevant vet care appropriate to their age. Dogs flying into Canada are subject to an additional ~$125 in custom's fees. These fees are for customs and not related to the rescue or its expenses.

The application process generally takes between 5-7 days as all volunteers also have full time jobs and families.
