About Us
Binky On! Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is a small 501c (3) non-profit organization created in 2012 by Jennifer Betts-Barfield and is staffed and run entirely by volunteers. We are the only rabbit rescue in South Georgia and currently house over fifty rabbits at our small facility which is quickly expanding. We take in rabbits from a number of places; however, we work primarily with high kill shelters in order to save as many rabbits as we can.
Our mission is to work with our community partners in order to rescue, rehabilitate, spay and neuter, and re-home abandoned rabbits in need. While raising public awareness about the issues domesticated rabbits face on a daily basis, we provide educational resources on the proper care of rabbits as indoor companions.
The main goal of our organization is to make sure that each of our rabbits are placed with the right family; therefore, Binky On! Rabbit Rescue, Inc. reviews all applications thoroughly in order to ensure the adoptive family is the right fit for the rabbit in need and that he or she is kept indoors and has ample space, adequate food and hay, and attention.
