The Missouri City Animal Shelter Volunteers and the Friends of the Missouri City Animal Shelter exist to help the dogs and cats that come into the care of the city of Missouri City. The volunteers help keep the animals socialized and healthy and work hard to find forever homes for every animal that comes to the shelter. The Friends of the Missouri City Animal shelter is a 501c3 and exists to raise funds to pay for health care and vet bills for the shelter animals.

The Missouri City Animal Shelter is a municipal animal shelter located in the Houston Texas area. We will ship our dogs to loving homes anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Adopters must fill out the city's adoption application and a vet reference. Adoption fees are $80 for dogs and $25 for cats, which includes spay/neuter and all vaccinations. The cost to adopt a dog outside Texas is exactly what it costs to reimburse us and includes the city's adoption fee, shipping and the health certificate. That cost varies depending on the shipping method used.
