Happy Jack Cats, Inc. screens all potential adoptive families before releasing an animal into their care. We reserve the right to deny any applications. Our adoptions are not awarded on a first come, first served basis, because our goal is to find the best match for the animal.
There are some adoption requirements. You must...
• have the willingness and means to provide good care and necessary medical treatment for the animal.
• be 18 years or older.
• have ID showing your present address.
• have the knowledge and consent of your landlord if you rent.
• bring a pet carrier to pick up your animal.
• NOT declaw the animal.
• NOT re-home the animal. Return the animal to HJC if need be.
• have a non-smoking home.
• meet any requirements that are specifically for a PARTICULAR animal, i.e. no kids, indoors only, special care, etc.
• not adopt a kitten as a gift for someone else.
• Consider your age when adopting a kitten. Cats can live up to 20 years.
All dogs and cats currently in your residence MUST be spayed or neutered. If they are not, your application will be denied.
