At Cat Friends of Minnesota, we cherish the love and enthusiasm of all cats, and give back to cats by providing them with a safe sanctuary for life (one cat at a time until we buy a multi-acre property), facilitating foster homes and permanent homes, bringing awareness to issues surrounding cats and the community, help missing cats find their people, and educate the community on how we can work together to create safer and happier relationships between cats and their people. Please follow our progress on social media, ask how you can adopt a cat, volunteer with us, or just connect to chat. Our perspective is this: if we can facilitate the rescue of a cat in need, it does not matter where that cat comes from. What is important is that we can find the right foster home for the cat, or that the cat will have space in our home (we rescue FeLV+ cats in our duplex, and we rescue whatever fits our foster volunteers' living situation). I am personally buying a home on a multi-acre property around 2018-2019. We will build supporting structures and surround them with cat proof fencing. That will be our permanent shelter. Right now we are just taking one cat at a time in our duplex and facilitating as many foster homes as we can find.
