Who IS 3 Blind Mice..............
For the greater part of my life I have always known I wanted to be more involved and proactive in being a voice for animals who otherwise don't have one.
For several years starting a rescue was somethin I know I needed to do and COULD do. Several moves later I landed in NC. It didn't take long to realize now was the time.
Ignorance is bliss they say because I had not a clue what it takes to truly help the needy and neglected.
July of 2015 we moved into a brand new house and the week after I offered to transport kitties. While there one of the ACO brought 3 dying kittens out and said they would die if nobody took them. Not knowing what the hell I was doing, I agreed to take them. Come to find out there were actually 5!!
We lost 2 the next day and with love and persistence we got the other 3 healthy. Now, Utopia, Sephora and Nirvana our resident rescue kitties. After asking many people for help and even just guidance and suggestions , I was offered nothing but the down side..... the negatives so to speak.
I became more determined than ever and decided we needed a name.
3 Blind Mice Rescue was born!!
Many didn't care for the name, I however thought it was whimsical and different, Definitely stood out.
I didn't realize until later how fitting the name became. You see, I went into this blind. Reading and following page after pages, learning how things are done. I was truly BLIND.
Through this so far short journey, I have been blessed wth some amazing mentors who haven't thought twice about lending advice or even resources. I give a lot of credit to them as I couldn't do half of what I do without them.
I also like to smile in th face of the ones who refused to help. We might be small but we are mighty!!
The ones that brought resistance actually brought me strength.
I didn't do any of this for anyone but the animals! those are who I stand accountable to.
The injured, the sick, the needy, We will continue to fight and rescue and save them.
