Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue's mission is to aid homeless, abandoned and neglected cats and dogs, to nurture them in the foster care of volunteers, to provide veterinary care and socialization, and to place them in permanent loving and responsible homes. Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue also works to decrease the population of homeless dogs and cats through its spay/neuter programs. Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization founded in 2000 by Leo Porter who saw the terrible state animals were kept at a "no-kill" animal shelter. Dismayed at the terrible living conditions of the animals there, he left to establish a rescue group to properly care for cats and dogs in need, and find them safe and loving homes.
Unto You It Is Given Pet Rescue is a small group of volunteers that fosters dogs and cats until they are adopted. Some animals are fostered by group members and outside volunteers, while other animals are housed at local houses. The animals come from various places. Some come from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Others are taken from shelters, yet still others (many others) come from the streets. Those rescued from the streets often arrive sick or injured, and are subsequently treated by veterinarians. We have great success finding homes for puppies and kittens as well as older animals and those with special needs (such as blind and handicapped cats and dogs).

Additional adoption info
All adoption donations are tax deductible. For dogs, adoption donations range from $175-300. Some of the purebred or "designer" dogs (non-shedding) tend to be at the higher range. The donation for most of our cats and kittens is $80. The donation for purebreds such as Siamese, Persian, Himalayan and other "exotic" cats, including those of mixed breed that show the dominant characteristics of a purebred, may range from $100-$150.Our pets are examined by a veterinarian, spayed and neutered (when age appropriate), provided with appropriate vaccines and micro chipped. Your adoption donation helps cover expenses for future pets that we will save.
