Bedford County Animal Control is dedicated to the humane treatment of all animals and has a sincere desire to place all animals in responsible, caring homes. From fostering and adoption, to working with animal rescues, we are trying to improve the conditions of the animals and place them in homes where they will live for the rest of their lives as valued members of the family.

Additional adoption info

We do not usually do same day adoptions unless the pet you have adopted has already been previously altered. If the pet has not been altered it generally takes 2 to 4 business days after the completion of our adoption application for the animal you have adopted to be scheduled for spay/neuter. On the day of the scheduled surgery BCAC takes your new family member in for surgery and you pick him/her up that afternoon from the designated clinic/hospital.
Our adoption fees are $65.00 for dogs and $45.00 for cats, which is pretty much the equivalent to the cost of our veterinary expenses.
