Houston Eskimo Rescue has been rescuing and rehoming American Eskimo Dogs and American Eskimo Dog mixes in the Houston and surrounding areas since 2000. We are a completely volunteer-run organization of dedicated people who love dogs. HER works in cooperation with New Leash On Life (NLOL) in San Antonio and the national American Eskimo Dog rescue organization, Heartbandits, to provide care and find qualified, permanent, adoptive homes. Heart Bandits is a nonprofit federally tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization with chapters across the USA and Canada.

Additional adoption info
You fill out the online foster/adoption application. Once the application is approved, the director does an over the phone interview. If passed, we do background check, then set up a meet and greet with what dog(s) you are interested in (if you already have pets we strongly recommend bringing them to see if they get along well).
