Animal House is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Elko, Nevada. We started in 2005 with a handful of volunteers. The small size of our group remains the same to this day although volunteers and foster homes are always welcome.
Our yearly monetary donations range from $20,000 to $25,000 and our average yearly expenditures are about the same. This includes: our spay and neuter program, veterinary care, vaccinations, and prescriptions. Average gifts in kind are around $16,000. This is what Animal House volunteers donate out of their own pockets to cover bills, gasoline, litter, kitten formula, collars, bottles, and etc. Travel expenses for adoption trips and transportation for animal care and picking up donations are also covered by volunteers. Most monetary donations are from companies. For fund raising, Animal House has bake sales and recycles aluminum cans.
Unfortunately, very few donations are actually from individuals in the community that we help. To say that we run on a thin margin is an understatement. We hope to grow our organization in the future to have a bigger impact on our community and for all animals in need.

We are looking for forever homes for our beloved fosters. If you feel you can't provide a forever home, we cannot help you.
However, we understand that sometimes people’s lives can be turned up-side-down therefore, we promise to always take back these loving animals. We want them to be safe and be loved for the rest of their lives.
