Who We Are
H.A.R.A. is a Bay Area non-profit run entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers and foster homes. We are a rescue group extending our efforts to international rescue dogs, where help is urgently needed.
What We Do
We make a special effort to help dogs that have not been able to find homes, as well as older dogs, and dogs from tougher backgrounds, who have proven they are gentle, sociable, and ready for family-life.
Why International Rescues?
We believe that adopting a dog, is like adopting a human child. It does not matter where they were born, every dog deserves a chance at life and a loving home. There are dogs in urgent need, especially in parts of the world where animal cruelty laws are not in place, or enforced. We take extra care to ensure that our international rescues are not displacing local dogs in need, and that our international rescues meet all health guidelines upon entering the United States.
