Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue is an independent donor supported 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, run by committed volunteers. We are a No-Kill Shelter. We provide care for abandoned and homeless animals, while they await their permanent homes. We are dedicated to providing humane treatment and quality of life for the animals. All animals are spayed and neutered and receive vaccinations and rabies prior to release. Puppies go out under a spay/neuter contract.

We can be contacted at 530-695-3814. Our shelter is open Tuesday - Saturday 12pm - 6pm We are located at 585 Meyers Avenue in Gridley California, 95948. We serve the Yuba Sutter area, Butte County and surrounding areas.

We work hard to address all of your concerns about adopting a new pet, and we make every effort to ensure all the important questions are considered, in an attempt to match you with an animal that will be the best suited for you and your lifestyle. We work hard to make every adoption a wonderful, successful experience. All adoptions are done through an application process, followed by a contract, which will be drawn up between you and Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue. You must be 18 years old to adopt a dog from our Rescue. There will be other criteria you must meet prior to adopting an animal from Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue. Our volunteers are happy to help you with any questions or concerns you may have.
