The York County SPCA was founded in 1926 and is a charitable organization dedicated to providing long-term human and animal services to residents of York County through programs that find permanent, loving homes for displaced and stray animals, help control animal population growth, investigate and prosecute cruelty offenders and educate the general public about animal wellness and safety.

Adoption questionnaires can be submitted online directly from an animal's profile on ycspca.com or as a general adoption application from www.ycspca.org/adopt/ A staff member will contact you to review your adoption questionnaire, then a meet (adoption appointment) can be scheduled between the pet and the potential adopter. If you cannot complete the form online, please call 717-764-6109 or visit the shelter during our public browsing hours to complete a questionnaire.
