Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary (CRCS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping dogs of all breeds and ages recover from trauma such as abuse, neglect, long-term confinement, and other special circumstances. Our primary focus is the rescue, recovery and placement of at-risk dogs. We provide refuge and a second chance for dogs needing at new start by offering a recovery program, thorough screening for best home placement for dog and adopter, and behavior help and support for the life of the dog.
Dogs that come into our care are victims of abuse, domestic violence, dog fighting, and laboratory research. We also take in dogs that have suffered from neglect, hoarding and puppy mill cases and dogs that have endured long term confinement or isolation. We are a support for rescues and shelters, taking in dogs that have been waiting for extended periods to find a home, dogs that have been returned multiple times and dogs that are struggling in the shelter environment due to fear and lack of socialization.
CRCS was founded in 2011 and began as a 100% grassroots organization powered by handful of dedicated volunteers. In November of 2013, we moved into our own facility. With 11,200 sq ft of indoor space and over 5 acres of outdoor space, we are currently working on a capitol campaign to purchase the property and transform every inch into a beautiful campus specifically geared towards recovery for our canine friends.
