Rescue FAQs

Alsip To The Rescue has two locations in which our rescue dogs are fully vetted and cared for by Rescue Team Members and onsite Vet Clinics run by Dr Coyne. We are located in Frankfort, IL & St John, IN. We also have dogs in foster homes throughout the NW Indiana and Chicagoland areas. We have adoption events at our locations the first weekend of every month and attend other offsite adoption events. All of our rescue come from both local and out of state high kill shelters and puppy mills that are shutting down. We are working to create volunteer walker programs to train and socialize the rescues prior to adoptions for both the dogs in our locations as well as the foster dogs. Our rescue is also active in the community to raise awareness of the importance of adopting rather than shopping for your pet.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee for our puppies up to age 6 months is $400. It will include the spay/neuter, microchip, as well as all medications and vaccines up to the point of adoption. After adoption and up to the spay/neuter time which is around 6 months old, the adopter is responsible to keep up with vaccines and rabies at the time of spay/neuter along with 12 months of heartworm prevention and pre-surgical blood work.
The adoption fee for ages 7 months to 6 year is $300 and then $200 for seniors, which will be fully vetted at time of adoption.
