Be Your Own Hero Inc

Animal rescue in Tampa, FL

Be Your Own Hero Inc is an official 501c3 No-Kill Animal Rescue Organization.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals from all walks of life. Our rescue provides all medical, nutritional, behavioral, and emotional care and support needed for each animal we rescue. Our foster home-based program allows us to provide our rescue animals with a loving home-like environment until they are carefully matched with the perfect adopter. As veterinary medical professionals, we believe that nutrition plays a detrimental role in the health of an animal, therefore we are one of the few rescues who uses only high quality pet food for our rescue furries. We have zero tolerance for discrimination and value all life, regardless of age, behavioral issues, breed or disabilities.

Florida law requires that all charities soliciting donations disclose their registration number and the percentage of your donation that goes to the cause and the amount that goes to the solicitor. Our registration number is CH39909 and non-program expenses are funded from our own income, so 100% of your donations are tax-deductible and go directly towards the care of our rescued animals. We are a 501 c 3 charity as determined by the IRS.

We believe that all life is sacred and every sentient being deserves a chance to LIVE.
Our mission is to give them that chance.

We do not approve declawing and therefore will not adopt a cat out to anyone who approves of such cruel and unneeded practices. Same goes for ear clipping.
