RAIN has been saving cats and dogs in the Seattle areas for many years. Now that a primary rescue partner has had to relocate to the Atlanta area, we have expanded our rescue efforts to the south. We continue to rescue and adopt out in the northwest, but anyone who is familiar with animal conditions in Georgia- knows you cannot NOT do rescue here as well. Since the dogs we help are all over the state, we are always in need of help transporting dogs from pickup locations to fosters and our vet office. We are also in great need of fosters as we have no facility and boarding is expensive and not so good for dogs who already came from bad circumstances. We would like to do more quality Georgia adoptions as currently we transport most of our dogs across the country to Seattle area adopters; which is expensive and time consuming. Find foster apps and foster info online at www.raincityrescue.com.

RAIN Georgia rescues primarily from high kill shelters in the north Georgia and Atlanta area - though we have helped dogs throughout the state. We adopt locally in Georgia and also transport our completely vetted dogs across the country to adopters in the northwest due to an overabundance of dogs in the south.
Additional adoption info
We do it all! RAIN Ga pulls from shelters and unwanted pets from many areas throughout Georgia. We completely vaccinate, including bordetella and heart worm test. Dogs over 5 months are spayed and neutered and all are temperament tested by volunteers or by Josh Donahue at Argos Dog works in Atlanta. ALL dogs are micro-chipped and we registerg the chips as well. We heart worm treat if necessary and et additional training through Argos if necessary. All adopters must fill out an adoption application (available online at www.raincityrescue.com) and we also reference check, vet check and do home check. We follow up on puppy spay and neuters and keep in constant communication in regards to training info etc. We guarantee that adopters can always return the dog to us no matter what. Dogs under a year (or any other dog we deem necessary) adopters are required to enroll in training class and we provide lists of trainers and other resources help to adopters. Our adoption fees range from $300- $500
