Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption Program has been in exsistence since 2004. We have a 16 stall barn and office located on the grounds of Finger Lakes RaceTrack (a first in North America) in Farmington, NY. Our mission is to give horses a second chance to be winners. All the horses in the program have either raced or trained at Finger Lakes Racetrack.
Our staff consists of Julie Smtih who is a trainer at Finger Lakes Racetrack as well as our Program Manager. Julie has been involved with horses since a very young age.
Damaris Cruz is our Barn/Volunteer Supervisor and she had been a groom at Finger Lakes Racetrack for 15 years prior to joining our team 6 years ago.
