Animal rescue in Cynthiana, KY

We relocate dogs from our local high-kill animal shelter to rescue organizations in other areas through a networking process. Our dogs are transported via climate-controlled van or truck to the Chicago area weekly, and to other Northeastern locations including Canada on a case-by-case basis.

Cats are rescued by taking them to foster homes where they are quarantined, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and then adopted locally. A few are moved to rescues in other areas.

Additional adoption info

We work with the local animal shelter, Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter. They set local adoption fees which are currently $45-$50 for cats and $65-$75 for dogs. At times prices are lower due to overcrowding, and Helping Hounds Find Homes, Inc. has provided partial sponsorships from time to time so animals can escape the shelter and go to homes in the area.
