Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Anders is a fun loving very high energy pup who would play all day if he could! He is deaf, so we have taught him the sign “look” to get his attention, he will purposefully not “look” at us when he knows he has done something naughty. He is so smart and we are currently working on teaching him ASL and getting him fully potty trained (he is almost there!). He would do best in a home with another younger dog or someone to keep him entertained as he can get into some mischief if left to his own devices or when doing something he doesn't want to do. Once he is tired out he is a snuggle bug who wants to be right in your lap, giving lots of kisses Click here to see a video of me on a walk! Anders is from a local impound. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Twizzler was abandoned at an apartment complex, left to scavenge for food and live in rough conditions. By the time rescue stepped in, he was battling a flea-related skin issue but has been healing well with care. At first, Twizzler can be unsure and will bark at new people, but he’s quick to warm up once he knows you mean no harm. His favorite trick is rolling over for belly rubs — and if you stop too soon, he’ll nudge or grab your hand to remind you to keep going. He’s crate trained, leash trained, and enjoys toys, blankets, and cozy spots. That said, Twizzler can be protective of his food, toys, and kennel, so feeding separately from other dogs is best. Once outside of those moments, he’s goofy, affectionate, and playful, with a loyal streak that shines once he bonds. Twizzler can live happily as a solo dog or with another small, respectful companion. What he really needs is a patient home that will go slow at first, help him feel secure, and keep the belly rubs coming! Twizzler is from Texas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Star … this goofy little sweetheart — the pint-sized clown who’s guaranteed to make you laugh every single day! She’s got the silliest, most lovable personality. Her tiny legs move at lightning speed when she gets the zoomies (and oh boy, does she love her zoomies). When she’s not sprinting around the yard or rolling in the cool grass, she’s probably snoring like a tiny freight train during her nap — she’s a total snorer! Her adorable tongue hangs out of the side of her mouth thanks to her slightly off-center jaw, which only adds to her irresistible charm. And those big blue eyes? Always watching to see if you’re paying attention to her antics! She gets so excited to meet new people — she just wants love from everyone and can hardly contain her joy. We’re working on her jumping because sometimes her heart gets ahead of her manners, but it’s all out of pure happiness. She’s been through some tough times, and you can tell she’s ready for the good life she truly deserves. She did great during her dog test at animal control and might do well with other dogs after proper introductions. Her goofy personality shines in everything she does — from the way she plays with her toys to her little “derpy” grin. The lady at animal control said if she had her own soundtrack, it would be the sound of a tuba as she walks — and honestly, that’s pretty spot-on! This silly, snuggly, tongue-out, tail-wagging girl is ready to fill your home with laughter, love, and plenty of zoomies! Star is from a local shelter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Marble is a gentle, affectionate toy-lover looking for a loving home where she can play and relax. She is a cautious girl who takes a little time to feel comfortable around new dogs and people. She may bark at large dogs or unfamiliar visitors at first, and she’ll sometimes bark through the fence at the neighbor’s dog or when a new dog comes into the home. She has been through a lot! Marble came from a home with many dogs and was very shy when she first arrived. Now that she's had some time to adjust, she seeks out attention and pets. She’s starting to truly enjoy exploring, playing, and relaxing in the quiet of the house. She is mostly potty-trained and generally very quiet unless other dogs start barking. Marble loves food and treats, which makes her easy to train. One of her funniest quirks is stealing toys from the other dogs just to get them to chase her — she’s fast and playful once her confidence shines through! Marble would do best in a calm home with a confident companion dog who can show her the ropes. She has lived peacefully with several dogs and has never had a cross word with any of them. While she may never be a lap dog, Marble will be a loyal, loving presence for someone patient enough to let her bloom at her own pace. Marble’s previous owner had to enter a nursing home, and the rescue took her in along with four of her canine friends from that home. With a little time, understanding, and stability, Marble will continue to grow into the wonderful, devoted dog she’s meant to be. Marble is from Texas.
