Cat rescue in Christiansburg, VA

Town & Country Veterinary Clinic is an full service clinic that has been serving the New River Valley for over 20 years. A few years ago, we started a Kitten Adoption Program to meet the growing need for a kitten rescue in our community. The local animal shelter does not accept cats or kittens and all of the surrounding rescues maintain month-long waiting lists. TCVC has rescued and found homes for hundreds of kittens through our growing program.

Rescue FAQs

Town & Country Veterinary Clinic is an full service clinic that has been serving the New River Valley for over 20 years. A few years ago, we started a Kitten Adoption Program. We have kittens and occasionally adult cats available for adoption. Most of the kittens are stray or abandoned kittens that our clients have found or rescued. All of our stray kittens and cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV or Feline AIDS) prior to adoption. All of the kittens are current on vaccinations and dewormings as well. Kittens four months and older have been spayed or neutered. We require an adoption fee of $50 and a contract to continue veterinary care, including having the kitten spayed/neutered by the age of six months.
