Our volunteers are dedicated to providing these dogs a safe home, food, medical care, training and love...everything a dog needs to become a happy member of their new family.

Rescue FAQs

Operation Safe Canine Animal Rescue (O.S.C.A.R.) is an all-breed, all-volunteer rescue based in the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area. Rescue efforts extend into Washington & Idaho, with the help of volunteers that open their homes and donate their time to save dogs in need.

Additional adoption info

Each applicant will complete an Adoption Application, submitted to the rescue for review and approval. Once the initial application is reviewed & approved for processing, the applicant will be contacted for a home inspection. The final step is a meeting with the applicant and the dog of their interest.
