Mid-Michigan Kitten Rescue was established in 2006 and was formerly known as Kitty Haven Rescue. We have been rescuing kittens for a very long time and feel that we have the experience and passion to continue saving cats and kittens. Because we are such a small rescue group and we operate out of our home we had to scale down how many cats that we could take in, this is unfortunate because we do not like to turn anyone away; however we rely heavily on public donations and when we do not get enough we have to rely on our personal finances which can be draining. One day we hope to have our own facility, but until then we will continue to rescue pregnant cats and kittens one at a time if that is what it takes to help reduce the overpopulation of cats. As an animal lover, I enjoy getting involved in educating the public and our local community about issues regarding spaying and neutering and how it not only helps cut down on overpopulation but increases your pets health and longevity.

Mid-Michigan Kitten Rescue is dedicated to savings the lives Our goal is to help educated the community and work with veterinarians and animal well fare organizations to reduce feline overpopulation. We at Mid-Michigan Kitten Rescue achieve this by rescuing, providing shelter, veterinary services, and a safe environment. We offer foster services for those interested in fostering cats and kittens until they find their furrever homes.
Mid-Michigan Kitten Rescue only takes in pregnant cats and kittens that have been abandoned or are homeless; We do NOT take in surrenders or those that are already established in family homes. This group helps pregnant cats and kittens that are out of options, and would otherwise be euthanized if taken to a shelter. Before one of our cats are adopted out they are spayed/neutered and have had all of their vaccinations. Kittens are de-wormed and if 9 wks or older have had all of their vaccinations. We adopt out kittens starting at 8 wks.
Because of the economic decline we rely heavily on donations and are always in need of supplies, such as blankets, litter, kitten formula, kitten chow, toys, scratching post and first aid supplies. We do ask that you make a small donation if bringing a pregnant cat or kittens to us as it helps out the cost of kitten formula and veterinary services.
Adopters must complete an application and agreement form for any cat or kitten they wish to adopt. Because of the cost of medical care and the daily cost of providing care; Adoption fees will be posted based on the overall cost of providing for that cat/kitten. Cats and kittens available for adoption will be posted on our adoptions page. Their name and approximate age will also be given.
If you would like to make a donation or if you are interested in fostering or adopting, please use the contact form or you can call us at the number above.
Additional adoption info
An adoption agreement must be signed before adoption. Adoptions fees are not always set, we base them on the cost and care of the cat.
