KattyCat Rescue

Cat rescue in Fountain Hills, AZ

I have been doing cat rescue for 17 years starting as a pre-teen. I have a tremendous amount of rescuing animals in over 5 different countries. So I know what I'm doing and I am great at saving a near death animal that no one else can save. Kitten, cat or rodents. I am finally down to 4 cats. I had 7. I would prefer to keep it this way since I live in other countries all the time. I only take in kittens/cats I know I can adopt out and have room for. I do have to decline all the time because this is not my home. I have placed 5 so far this year and still have 9. I don't take on too many because I only had craigslist to place my fosters before which is very difficult to find good homes on. Hopefully that will chance. I prefer to take in kittens only because I do keep them for awhile. I make sure they are all spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested and negative for FeLV, treated for all parasites and 100% healthy before adoption. I get them from people who have litters, trap ferals and TNR if not able to tame down, and I am given kittens sometimes. My goal is to find the best permanent home for my fosters. I certainly put a lot of work into them.

Rescue FAQs

I am a rescue, non profit, but not officially non-profit who works by myself. I do a complete and thorough screening of adopters and the animals I take in and no one leaves until they are spayed/neutered and fully adjusted and ready. Although I'm in Fountain Hills, I am willing to serve all of the Phoenix area, even Northern Arizona and Southern Arizona.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee for highly adoptable kittens is $95 which includes the spay/neuter, vaccines, testing for FeLV under 6 months and FeLV/FIV over 6 months, and getting rid of all parasites with dewormers and whatever else they come with which they always do. I do not adopt out kittens under 10 weeks because that is just far to young to adopt out a kitten. I have to make sure they are well adjusted and if it were up to me, I would wait until 4 months on all of them. I want them to be the best cat the adopter ever had when they take them and by adopting them out well adjusted, they usually are.
