Our mission is to save young, adoptable pups that might otherwise have no chance at a happy, healthy life. Most of our pups come from high kill shelters with little visibility. We look for those that have been overlooked by rescues and those in imminent danger of being put down. We do on occasion accept a dog from another rescue or an individual looking to prevent a dog from ending up in a shelter. We are very small at present, just a few fosters but are hoping to expand. I stumbled into rescue when I came across a young dog (one year-old) about to be killed for space in an Animal Control facility in Gaston County, NC about a year and a half ago. They still put out a "Euth list" every week with the days the dogs and cats will be killed. I was able to save him with the help of people I didn't even know primarily via facebook. He came to me on a paid transport - he was skinny, had every kind of parasite you can imagine and was heartworm positive. Today, he is a healthy, strong, heartworm free, loved and treasured member of our family. His name is Chance. He and all who came after him is why I do what I do. We hope someday to also obtain our 501c3 status but right now, all of our money pays for vet bills and transport. We are just getting started but have already saved the lives of 12 pups and our token kitty. We are looking to save more but we NEED fosters and adopters! All of our puppies and dogs live in homes and are treated as members of their host family. A very accurate assessment of health and behavior are freely given. We want our puppies to find the right forever home for them so there will be no surprises.
