Edson Animal Rescue Society (EARS)

Animal rescue in Edson, AB

The Edson Animal Rescue Society (E.A.R.S.) was founded in June of 2012. We serve Edson, Alberta and the surrounding areas, with foster homes reaching as far as Hinton, Whitecourt and Edmonton. We are a no-kill rescue and believe that every animal deserves a fighting chance. We are foster home based, and all our animals live in homes rather than a facility. We are run by a group of dedicated volunteers, which includes our Board of Directors, foster homes, and volunteers. E.A.R.S. is a non-profit organization and Registered Charity, so all funds raised directly benefit our animals in need!

Rescue FAQs

EARS serves Edson, Alberta and the surrounding Yellowhead County. We have foster homes in Edson, Hinton, Jasper, Whitecourt, Niton Junction, and even Edmonton.

Additional adoption info

1. If you would like to adopt an EARS animal, start by visiting our website and filling out an online Adoption Application. This does not commit you to adopting the animal.

2. Our team will review the application and reply to the applicant as quickly as possible with the application status. (We are volunteer run, so please allow 3-5 days for a reply.)

3. Once your application is approved, we will put the prospective adoptive family in touch with the foster family to arrange a “meet and greet”. This is required for dogs but may not be necessary for cats.

4. If all parties are in favor of the adoption (EARS adoption committee, foster family, and prospective adoptive family), you might be able to take your new animal home the same day or you may need to arrange a mutually beneficial time with the foster home.
