The Humane Society of Jackson County's Mission is to prevent neglect, cruelty and exploitation of animals. We assure that their interest and well being are fully, effectively and humanely protected by providing care, shelter, spay & neuter, and education. Our Vision is to be the model Humane Society shelter of the state that shall provide for the well being animals of Jackson County.
Our ultimate goal is to one day have an adoption location, but in the interim we save animals by means of our foster license through The Department of Agriculture. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.

We rescue animals from Jackson County Georgia and adopt anyone interested in providing a loving home to one of our animals.

If you are interested, please submit an adoption application, a volunteer will contact you in within 48 hours. Our adoption fee is $175 for Dogs and $100 for Cats which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations and microchip. All animals while in foster care are on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
We verify information submitted on the application, may require home visit prior to final adoption and require a signed adoption agreement.
