Project Purr Baton Rouge is a nonprofit that was formed in 2010 to support the Companion Animal Alliance of Baton Rouge in stopping the euthanasia of thousands of adoptable cats each year by our community shelter (now called CAA; formerly East Baton Rouge Parish Animal Control).Prior to our existence, 90 percent of felines who entered the shelter died there. In just two years we have already saved thousands of cats from being euthanized at CAA, and helped lower the kill rate from 90% to around 50% currently. Would you please join us by adopting one of our kittens or cats, volunteering with us, or donating to our organization?
