Marley's Cat Tales - Winterville Chapter

Cat rescue in Winterville, NC

Marley's Cat Tales is dedicated to making a difference in the fight against feline retroviruses, including both feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency viruses, through public service, promoting awareness and educating the public. Knowledge about feline diseases and their prevention is essential to the Fund’s mission of stopping the viral cycles and ultimately eradicating feline retroviruses. As the only national nonprofit dedicated to offering an alternative option to immediate euthanasia, we have created a safe haven for infected cats—where quality care and life enrichment are the primary concern.

Additionally, we believe in the power of the foster network, where felines reside and are socialized in private homes. They get one-on-one attention, making transitions to their adoptive homes smooth and care free. Networking to find foster homes for homeless felines has enabled us to serve more animals, those with retroviruses, non-infected felines (negative) including seniors, and those with disabilities. Marley's Cat Tales is proud of our outreach program and serves 100 felines through our foster care network we call the Marley Family

Rescue FAQs

Marley's Cat Tales primarily serves special needs felines, those with FeLV and FIV from all over the Eastern United States; however, we do have a few negative felines that are in our program as well, in this case we serve Eastern North Carolina. Currently, we are a small foster network that remains at full capacity.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is lengthy but serves for the benefit of the animals and has allowed us to have a decrease in feline return. We have a contract and require a home check. Our adoption fee per feline is $100, this includes spaying and neutering, flea preventative, rabies and booster shots, testing for FeLV and FIV, ear cleaning and a bath. Our felines are very social due to the foster home setting of which they reside. Approved adoptees will receive a 26 page feline health care manual that will help them with introduction of their new furry friend to their home. To adopt please email, marleyscattalesrescue@gmail.com. Thank you!
