Delaware Valley Second Chance for Animals, Inc. (DVSC or DVSC4A) is a 501(c) 3 humane organization that serves Southeast Pennsylvania and New Jersey. DVSC believes it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals, and to place them in loving permanent homes. We encourage the public to spay and neuter their pets. We promote the adoption of off-the-track thoroughbreds. We work diligently to educate the public on the importance of adopting rather than buying pets, pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of all animals.
We are a true non-kill organization. We rescue animals (cats, dogs, horses) no matter their situation. We rescue cats and dogs who have been neglected, malnourished, sick, and even cats who test positive for FIV/FeLV. Once rescued, all of our furry friends are placed in private foster homes throughout the Delaware Valley. While in foster care, we do our best to ensure that all of our adoptees get healthy and are well socialized, so you can concentrate on finding the ideal new addition to your family. Our horses are located at Second Chance Farm Inc in Newfield, NJ where they are rehabilitated and trained.
Our goals are:
1) To educate the public on the advantages of adopting from rescue groups and shelters.
2) To showcase the talent of off-the-track thoroughbreds and the benefits of adopting one.
3) To foster the belief that all life is valuable, and worthy of protection.
4) To educate the public on all matters concerning animal welfare
5) To promote the spay and neutering of all pets to help end the epidemic of feline and canine overpopulation.
