Most of our dogs come from shelters in Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina. There are quite a few shelters there that still use gas chambers to euthanize their animals! The southern states seem to have more dogs looking for homes than the northern states, possibly because the spay/neuter laws are stricter up north. Our goal is to educate people on the need for spaying/neutering to reduce the number of homeless pets that are killed every year. We also strive to find wonderful homes for these dear pups that have done nothing to deserve what they've endured in their short lives to date.

We don't limit our adoptions to specific areas, as long as the potential adopter is willing to come to our area to meet the dog/puppy. We are willing to drive an hour or 2 to meet you. We have had adopters fly in, rent a car, and drive back to Boston. We've also had people drive down from Cape Cod, New York, Boston, Detroit, and other states.
Additional adoption info
You must fill out an adoption application, and provide at least 2 references. We also require a home visit, but do accept digital photos of your home in lieu of the visit. We also require that you sign a contract at the time of adoption, stating that the pet is returned to us at any time during his/her life if you can no longer keep him/her. Our adoption is not final until you meet the pet to make sure that it's a good match for you and the pet!
